The elderly wolf scrabbled out of the tunnel exit from the Half-Caves. She had lived in the Ice Caves her whole life, but in the last year they had moved her to the Half-Caves. And she hated it.
She had insisted on staying in the normal caves with the rest of the normal wolves. But apparently forty seasons old was too old to stay in the "dangerous" caves made of overly frozen ice.
She hopped the last few leaps out of the dens and got out into the fresh air.
Now where was a Soldier wolf when you needed one?
She wasn't supposed to go out alone nowadays for fear of something happening.
Once again, just because she was old didn't mean she couldn't defend herself. She had been a Soldier for more time than any other wolf.
And yet she wasn't allowed to sleep in the Ice Caves or go out alone.

Lilly saw the old grey wolf from her den where she had been playing. Lilly was feeling particularly lonely today. Her mother was away and her father was goodness knows where, as was her sister. So, all day long, the cub was ordered to stay in the den until one of them got back.
But surely that didn't count if someone as wise and responsible as Brisgean was looking out for her.
The little ginger-furred wolf cab sprang across the clearing towards the wolf, tumbling clumsily as she went. "Hello, Brisgean! I've come to say hi. Dad told me to stay in the den, but it's so boring in there, so I've decided to come and chat with you."
Lilly's hazel-brown eyes gazed up, gleaming at the old she-wolf.

Brisgean had been walking across the clearing, headed towards the woods. Well less of walking across the clearing, and more of limping.
Then she heard the loud thuds of excited young paws across the snow.
She almost growled in frustration at her never getting to be alone anymore, except for when she didn't want to be alone.
But she recognized the voice that spoke to her immediately.
Lilly.
Brisgean turned toward the pup as she spoke.
"You're supposed to be in your den. You trying to get your elders in trouble? You should go back."

"Oh come on Brisgean," the little pup whined, "It's boring in there. I want to play!"

Rakaborix stepped out of the trees " Lilly! I've been searching all over for you! Do you not know how to obey a simple command?" he said in a worried tone.
He paused and nodded at Brisgean. He picked Lilly up by the scruff "Now lets get you back to camp, and no whining!"

Brisgean grunted as Rak took his pup away.
She turned and started limping back towards the forest. The elderly wolf deep down felt bad for Lilly but knew it wasn't her place to step in.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a huge black wolf dropped down beside Brisgean, teeth barred and shoulders hunched. "That damn wolf cub," Marcios, the leader of the pack, growled through sharpened teeth, "She doesn't belong in my pack."

Brisgean turned turned toward Marcios, baring her teeth in turn to his own long fangs that shone brightly.
She was one of the few wolves in the entire world that could challenge Marcios without being murdered immediately.
Because she was older than him, and she was known for being as fierce, if not fiercer, than the Alpha. And she knew how to work with him.
"Buck off, Marcios; she's just a pup," Brisgean growled, "I've forgotten how mean you can get. And don't you dare backtalk your elders. I remember when you were a little pup yourself, mewling more annoyingly than any other pup in the pack."

Marcios became a little subdued, embarrassed. Had it been any other wolf, he would have ripped his throat out. But it was Brisgean. And She had him between her teeth.
"You should have more respect, Brisgean. You're lucky you're so damn useful to the pack, otherwise I'd have you exterminated."

"Oh, I'm sorry, Alpha Marcios," her tone was a little sarcastic, but she wasn't being incredibly disrespectful.
She almost made another smart remark, but she decided against it after a moment of thinking.

"Good," the dark leader snapped, towering over the she-wolf, "Now see to it that kill pile gets larger by the time I am back. I'm going to have a word with Rakaborix."
And without another word, the black wolf was walking away from Brigean in the direction Rakaborix had taken Lilly.
"Rak! I want a word!" he howled in an attempt to get the soldier's attention.

Rak turned around, what now! He set down Lilly " Yes sir?" he grunted a little.

Marcios stood beside Rakaborix, but stared down at Lilly. "Leave your father and I to talk, Lilly. It's private."

Lilly didn't bother retaliating. She knew it was hopeless defying the leader, so she just trotted away towards the den.

Drawing up close to the Rak, Marcios hissed in the soldier's ear, "She won't survive in this pack. You need to toughen her up. I won't have a dog like that in my pack."

He relaxed some though " I will train her."

"good. I'm glad to hear it," the leader growled angrily at the bold wolf, before leaving Rak to worry about his security in this pack.

Rak ran into the den " Lilly! Come with me, I'm going to start training you." he smiled.

"Training?! Oh good!" Lilly began to jump about excitedly. Almost everything positive excited her. "Can Brisgean come, dad? She's so wise, she could help me."

" Sure!" his eyes glowed brightly. " Lets go get her!" Rakaborix nuzzled the young pup. He began walking to where the she-wolf Brisgean's den was.

Lilly found Brisgean where she left her, just outside the she-wolf's den. Running on ahead of her father, the ginger wolf crashed into the elder's legs. "Brisgean! I'm going training with dad! Do you want to come with us?" She was so excited it was hard to hear the words coming out of her little mouth, so fast did she speak them.

Half of the time I type like I'm from the southern states of the USA.
I actually like the way you RP because you use words more uniquely than most of us have heard them before. You even use words we've never heard. It makes it so interesting.
Though I can say I don't like imagining them in British accents.
My brother lived in England for a few years and it drove him crazy.
I guess it runs in the family.

The elder was ready to bite some heads off by now.
Every time she got close to the forest....
She was about to growl at Lilly, her short temper ready to burst into flames and melt the snow in a mile radius.
But she stopped.
Training?
Brisgean hadn't felt useful to the pack in a while.
Why not?

Lilly burst into a flurry of excitement. "Woohoo!! Come on dad, let's go, Brisgean's gonna come with us!"
Running ahead, the puppy ran herself into snow mounds and trees and many more assorted obstacles that seemed to her to have been placed in her way on purpose by someone or other.

Brisgean just nodded and kept walking towards the hunting grounds.
With a little something to look forward to she was limping less than she was before.

OOC: Nah. Where you're from, Kit, you guys talk a bit differently. I know because I used to live there and people here make fun of the way I say some words.
