Character Creation Guideline and Forms

Hello! If you are new to our forum, this is a great place to learn how to create a character. Here are a few things you should know before you get started:
#1. At the New Era, a member can have an unlimited number of cats or characters (they can also be wolves, humans, etc.) because we do not put a limit on how much people role-play. If someone just wants to have one cat, that's fine. If they want a hundred, then that's fine too. As long as a member is active with their character(s), everything is cool.
#2. All characters, unless they are background characters, must have a form filled out. To fill out a form, plain and simply just copy and paste one of the templates underneath these guidelines into a new post in the 'Character Creation' board. That makes it easy to find characters as well as for other members to read about your creations.
#3. You don't have to limit yourself to the templates below. You can add whatever you want to the template as long as it is appropriate for those 16 years and younger. You can also take out some things. You don't have to fill it out perfectly, and there is no perfect form.
#4. Be realistic with your cats. Follow the basic lines of reality, and that should do it. Yes, we play talking cats here, but try to keep in line with the books.
#5. This is the most important guideline. In order to actively play a cat regularly, your cat must have a post in the Character Creation board. To clarify, if it is a main character of yours, please make a post for it. If it is a background character that you need to control for a few posts, but it is not the big part of what you role-play, you do not need to make a post for it.
#6. In order to have a high position (HP) accepted, the character must have a post where the HP Template is filled out. All parts of the HP Template are required, although you can add whatever you want to it. You just can't take away anything, unless it says it is optional.

What should one put for friends and enemies since one hasn't even made a character yet so how could the character have met anyone to be friends/enemies with?

Don't worry about that Searisha. You can add to your cat's friends and enemies list as you go after interacting with various other members' characters. You see that little pink "edit" button at the top of your posts? Just click that when you want to add to your cat's profile :3
