It's about them STOPPING the zombies, though they don't end up stopping them. But they find a way to camouflage themselves among them, so they don't get bit and turn. If you don't understand military stuff, you won't get a few things in the movie, but you'll get the jist of it. That wasn't a word, but oh well xD

Where the countries retreated to/did to stop the zombies in the book 'World War Z':
U.S: Retreated to Hawaii (;D) and blocked off the rocky mountains to keep Cali as a procedure thingy. They killed off all the zombies on U.S soil by having the Army (again, ;D) form a square and just shoot them for days on end, and it was only one battalion which isn't that big to face off mountains of zombies. There were no casualties.
Israel: They finished their walls that have taken thousands of years to create- just in time too. They had their military manning the walls at all times.
Mexico: Joined the U.S
Canada: Retreated into Greenland because zombies would freeze and they would be safe (the zombies don't freeze to death, but they do freeze over and can't move until they thaw out)
England/Britain: Retreated into medieval castles, going out to scavenge during Winter and had power and heat all year round.
North Korea: No one messed with them because they knocked out all the teeth of their citizens and then retreated underground. No one wants to see all of NK turned to zombies underground and unleash them. They're a dead end. They're left alone the entire book.
Russia (this is for you Mini, so you know D'yavol's home is ok xD): Retreated to the north, doing the same as Britain/England.
My brother explained this all to me :3

Dude, Guam retreated to Hawaii too. There were only like 3 million people left in the U.S, Canada had like 10,000 and the same goes for Mexico because they tried to be on their own xD
