Choices: Chapter 1: An Interesting Change {For Fun Reader-Choiced Story!}
- Choice: A girl:
- You saw a girl, but not one you've met before. She had blonde hair, obviously, but you couldn't see her face since her hair was covering the part you could have seen. Your school is small, so how could you not recognize her? Do you follow the girl? Yes, or no?
- Choice: A boy:
- A boy had been going behind the school. You don't know who he is, but he didn't look like a person who brought trouble everywhere, but he looked to be panicking. Maybe he's in trouble, or he saw something he wasn't supposed to. Not everyone at your school was nice. But you knew it was something else going on. Do you follow the boy? Yes, or no?
- Choice: A cat:
- Poor thing you had seen was scrawny and still quite young. You feel sorry for the feline, who probably lived in the woods beside your school. Do you follow the cat? Yes, or no?
- Choice: A girl, yes:
- You glance at the buses in front of you, but your gut pulls you away from your normal daily routine. You walk quickly to the edge of the building, peeking over the side to try and spot the girl. To your slight surprise, you couldn't find her. How could she have moved so fast? But soon enough you give a small jump when you hear yelling and... growling? Wait, what? People don't growl. Was the girl being chased by an animal now? Your heart speeds up with adrenaline spreading through your veins as you think about what you should do. Do you run to help her, or go and grab another student to help as well? Run to help or get a student to help?
- Choice: A boy, yes:
- You stop a friend going by you who gets off at the same stop as you do and ask her to drop your backpack off at your house. She agrees, taking the light bag with only your math homework and a book in it. You waved her a short goodbye before going to the corner of the building. You felt the ground beneath you on your feet as you saw the wall getting closer and closer. Your heart speeds up, your feeling of nervousness replaced with slight fear. As soon as you turned around it, you felt dread build up in the pit of your stomach. This was a terrible, terrible idea. In front of you wasn't the boy you had seen. Your eyes widened as the large, 7 foot tall man in front of you clamped his deathly pale hand over your mouth. Your eyes rolling into the back of your head, your world went black and your body went numb as the man caught you from falling. It was because the man's head wasn't human. It was a jackal. Until next chapter, hero. This is 'Path E'. Keep this in mind for the next installment as it will continue your story.
- Choice: A cat, yes:
- You scurried through the few students still getting to their buses. Easily weaving through the small crowd, you accidentally hit your hand on the brick wall that made part of the corner of the middle school. You pulled it away immediately due to the small, but sharp pain that spread through the limb. Ignoring the dull throb, you walked around the corner and looked up form stretching your hand. Five cats, all lean and strong -including the one you had thought you'd seen-, were staring at you expectantly. One by one, they each turned around and walked into the forest beside your school in a line. The last one, a brown tabby with grey eyes, made a type of gesture that said 'follow'. Do you? No, you go home or yes, you follow them?
- Choice: A boy, girl or cat, no:
- You decide to ignore what you had seen. It was probably a trick of the eye. When you get on the bus, your friends say hello and you continue your routine. You go home, do your math homework and do your other various hobbies. Sorry, but you life becomes boring and average. Better luck next time, hero. Maybe choose more heroic choices instead?
- Choice: A girl, run to help:
- You sprang out from behind the brick wall, running down the length of the building. Judging from the yelling that could still be heard, the girl was behind the school. You gave a small grunt at the distance, but pushed harder to get there even faster. Already slightly out of breath -hey, you were never a fan of gym- when you got there, what you saw made you stopped in your tracks immediately. The blonde girl had a sword in her right hand, and a baseball cap in the other. She didn't notice you as she was too busy on what her attacker was about to do. Now her attacker, that really made your head flip. He... he had a human face, but his body was a lion and his tail reminded you of a scorpion's, almost back-pedaling to safety, the girl spotted you and started running towards you. She narrowly missed spikes being thrown at her from the creature's tail when she arrived at your side. "Put the hat on and stay put," She said, clearly not happy with the change of events due to your arrival. You have no choice but to put the baseball cap on, so you do. Until next chapter, hero. This is 'Path G'. Keep this in mind for the next installment as it will continue your story.
- Choice: A girl, Run to get help from another student:
- You pushed yourself away from the wall, turning around. All the buses were starting to leave, but one of your older brother's friends who was going to Football practice was about to walk into the school. You tried to remember his name to call him out and start running to him. "Peter!" You yelled when you remembered it. When he looked up at you, he gave a small grimace. It was never a good thing to talk to your friend's little sister unless you wanna be evil-eyed for a week. But he could notice how panicked you were, and dismissed the thought. He looked at you, his arms full with his practice bag and school backpack. "What is it?" He asked, sounding worried. Anyone with a sane mind seeing someone running and screaming like you were had to be a bit concerned. "I-I think there's a girl in trouble behind the school. Like an animal was after her or something," You said, then explained how you had seen her and then heard yelling form her and growling. It didn't take much for him to drop his bags and begin running to where you had just come form. You gave a small groan, realizing you had to run after the boy who wanted to play hero. But he could handle the situation much better than you, so you followed him. Until next chapter, hero. This is 'Path R'. Keep this in mind for the next installment as it will continue your story.
- Choice: A cat, follow them:
- With steady feet, you began slowly walking forward. Soon you have to do a small jog in order to find the cats. They seem to easily slink their bodies through the forest landscape, as you cannot do. You often stub your toe, or even worse, smack your head into a branch. You receive what could be considered laughs form the youngest of the cats, who was easily only 6 or 7 months old. It was quickly shushed by the brown tabby, making you think you may have hit your head a little too hard. Still, you followed them silently through the woods. It was well lit here and smelled homely, and you often spotted the odd mouse scurrying away. Smart mouse, you think to yourself. Maybe you could do something like that if something goes wrong? But you stick with it. You walk for a little over and hour, soon going across the moors you had never known existed. You had never been to this part of your town, but you had heard there was a waterfall here. The cats couldn't possibly be taking you there, could they? Until next chapter, hero. This is 'Path W'. Keep this in mind for the next installment as it will continue your story.
- Choice: A cat, no, you go home:
- You decide to ignore what you had seen/heard. It was probably a trick of the mind. When you get on the bus, your friends say hello and you continue your routine. You go home, do your math homework and do your other various hobbies. Sorry, but you life becomes boring and average. Better luck next time, hero. Maybe choose more heroic choices instead?

Basically, it branches off into 3 different stories that I enjoy.
The girl? Percy Jackson series (Greek mythology).
The boy? The Kane Chronicles (Egyptian mythology).
The cat? Warriors. Duh.
Re: Choices: Chapter 1: An Interesting Change {For Fun Reader-Choiced Story!}
I also read the first book of PJO. But then I had other books to read.
Never heard of Kane Chronicles.

Chapter 2
- Go with your gut and leave:
- You glance around nervously. There are trees all around you, and you feel as if they are starting fade in and out. Your head begins to pound with the beat of your heart. Finally, you decide to turn and run as fast as you can. The six cats flash around, shocked by your choice. Yet they start spring up to you, and you know they will catch up soon. You fly forward with a sharp pain in your left ankle. You had hit a tree trunk, and now you had landed painfully on the forest floor. You feel blood truckle down your leg, and glance down to see a large cut on your knee. Groaning in pain, you try to use your shirt to cover up the large cut. But one of the cats are quietly padding up to you. It seems to have leaves in its jaws. Your heart still beating as fast as a Lamborghini, you try and back away. But the cat puts one of its paws on your leg, almost like it's telling you to stay still. Do you stay still or get up and run away?
- Keep following the cats:
- You swallow the lump in your throat either idiotically or bravely, only time will tell. You continue to follow the cats for a long period of time. Now the dense forest had become full of pine trees, and it almost felt like this forest had a different smell to it than the other. Deciding you had already basically lost your mind, you kept following the cats. The younger, scrawnier cat always stayed by your side, but never touched you. Like it was disgusted to be even near you, but liked you anyways. Confusion eventually lifted and was replaced with boredom. You had been walking for almost 40 minutes, and your legs were starting to tire. But then you hear roaring sounds, and it sounds like a waterfall. You actually look at the cats now. One was a maine coon, with a massive body and gray fur. It had yellow eyes and seemed at home in the pines. Another was a massive brown tabby, with striking brown eyes. The third had sleek, but shiny grey fur.
