Wriggling down onto her haunches she stared up at the great oak and leaped up. Just managing to catch the branch with one claw she sighed. Looking down, she was about five feet up and hanging on with one claw.

Stormheart was padding through the forest, and scenting the air for other cats or for prey. He had just finished hunting, but more prey wouldn't hurt. It would be nice to maybe meet another cat, he also thought. He had been alone for most of the day hunting, and then he noticed the she-cat in the tree. "Hello." He meowed to her.

Looking down at the cat she lost her balance and fell landing on her back. She stood up and her pelt bristled. "Hello." He gave herself a quick grooming before lifting her head. "Can I help you?" Her claws were still unsheathed from shock of falling.

"Sorry if I scared you!" He meowed as he padded over to her, his intentions were only friendly and he had a friendly smile. "I'm Stormheart, just wanted to say hello I guess." He said to her.

She sheathed her claws and tilted her head. "Oh. Uh, how are you?" She wasn't certain that was the right thing to say. "and im alright. Just a little fall."

"I'm good, how are you?" He asked politely, looking at her. "And that's good. What is your name?" He asked the she-cat.

She flicked her tail. "Im doing-fine." She said trying to hide the prick of sadness. "And, my names Honeyspot." She sat up. "Nice to meet you... uh what did you say your name was?" She felt her cheeks grow hot for forgetting his name so fast.

"That's good." He gave her a nod, realizing that something may be bothering her, but he didn't want to press on further. "Honeyspot, that's a nice name. Nice to meet you too, and I'm Stormheart." He didn't mind her forgetting his name at all, he smiled.

"Nice to meet you to." She replied. "Are you the heart of the storm?" Her tail swayed. "I'm new to the clan. I haven't really met many of the cats. I uh was a kittypet. I know now some cats don't like me around so im out here a lot near the edges of camp or in the trees."

He shrugged. "I don't know, I like my name though." He listened to her speak, and nodded. "Yeah? Well, welcome to the clan. And you seem pretty nice and like an interesting cat, if other cats don't like you because you were a kittypet, just ignore them. I think it actually takes quite some courage to become a clan cat from a kittypet, not just be born as one." He smiled to her.

She chuckled. "I guess it does take a little courage. I mean.. I can't fight as well as you guys but im good at hunting. I used to do it in my backyard." She mewed.

He laughed softly. "I'm sure you'll get better at it. Really? That's really good, that means you must be pretty good at it. I haven't heard of a kittypet before who would do that." He smiled to her.

She smiled shyly. "Well thanks. I've never met a clan cat as welcoming as you." She turned her head in the direction of the twoleg place. "I would show you but I'm not sure we are allowed to go close."

He shrugged, giving her a little, sort of embarassed smile. "Thanks, I guess I'm just friendly." He looked in that direction, and nodded. "Well, I guess not, I'd be interested though. But you're right, I don't think we're really allowed." He meowed to her.
