"Mistletoe?" Pride scowled down at the she-cat in utter bewilderment. How could she be here? It had been so long... he thought she was dead.
He continued to stare, checking over and over again in his mind that he was looking at he who he thought he was looking at. He tried to speak, but the silence between them stretched out for an eternity.
Finally, Mistlepaw leapt towards the tom, mewling gleefully and pressing her face in his chest, "Pride! I can't believe it's actually you!"
But her brother gave a cold reception, backing off from her embrace and frowning at her below a puzzled brow, "Mistlepaw, what in StarClan's name are you doing here? Where have you been?"

Sagevine and Mochaberry shared a worry glance at one another when they heard shouts and loud commotion going on not too far from where they were. They bolted to catch up and were confused at the sight of Pridepaw and Mistlepaw acting how they were. Sagevine gave a look to Pebblewhisker almost like he was asking what was going on. The apprentices weren't hostile towards each other, as was common.

Pebblewhisker had only just gotten there, and he too was surprised to see the apprentices acting like this, he wasn't sure why the were, and he had more than one question. He looked at Sagevine, wondering as well why the ShadowClan medicine cat was with him, then he looked back at Mistlepaw.

Pridepaw retracted when the other cats arrived, shooting Mistlepaw a warning glance to tell her to stop acting like she was. For some reason, he felt an overwhelming need to hide the fact that they were siblings.
"Mochaberry," he said, his voice sounding awkward and defensive, "I... I found this RiverClan apprentice on our territory. We should take her to..."
Pride trailed off as he took in the stranger faces around him and recognised their RiverClan scent. He suddenly became very embarrassed and stood before the cats shuffling from paw to paw.

Pebblewhisker was very surprised, but he knew that the apprentice was trying to cover up something about him and with Mistlepaw. He waited to see if anybody would say something, and he looked at Sagevine, then at Mistlepaw.
