Wyu sat up panting. He dipped his head with respect and the cloud pulled from him. He looked at Tarlio then to Hohn.

The rusty-furred wolf growled from deep within his throat.
"Who are you?" he barked, "go away, both of you. I just want to eat."
Tarlio whimpered and his face became crumpled with pain as the hunger pains struck him again. The wolf that had just interrupted was older and bigger than he was, and he became wary of him. If he could help it, he did not want to fight this wolf.

Wyu sat up making his muscles stick out more making him seem as big as Hohn. " If you touch him, you may be as good as dead.",he snapped at the loner wolf.

"Yes, Wyu. Guide him out of the territory. If he makes any smart moves bring him back to the camp."

" Yes Hohn." , Wyu said while dipping his head. He started walking. " There is a herd of Caribou just out of our territory. I will take you there." ,he said quietly.

"No", cried Tarlio, "I must eat now. I cannot walk any further. I cannot hunt in my condition."
The timber wolf looked angrily between the two pack wolves. He knew that he would surely die if he were to fight these two trained wolves, but he was not about to give up his first meal in a month. "Please. I must eat. I... I promised I'd survive."
As Tarlio said this, his legs gave way into a slouching sit and began to pant heavily. He was starving to death, and now he was at the mercy of these two seemingly merciless wolves.

Hohn looked at the collapsed wolf.
"I'll haul him to camp," he said, "Wyu, you go get something for him to eat."
He picked up the strange wolf on his back and started to the camp. He may not like intruders, but he wasn't heartless.

Wyu nodded his head. He saw one of the caribou was still standing. Wyu circled the caribou and the jumped onto it. He had confused it easy enough to do so. Wyu sunk his sharp teeth in the caribous soft neck. The caribou collapsed to the ground after a while, so Wyu grabbed its scruff and hauled it to camp where the hungry intruder lay.

Tarlio woke to find himself lying in the middle of a snowy clearing, frosted white trees growing all around and jagged rocks sticking out around the edges between the towering trees. He sat up shakily and looked around, but found that his vision was hazy, his head was pounding, and the fierce hunger pains were still there.
After a while, Tarlio's sight returned to normal, and now he could see that next to him lay the body of a fine doe caribou. He smelt it. It was real. He was saved.
He looked around him again and saw the two pack wolves he had met earlier, the dark spirit wolf he had fought, and the tall, dusty brown and white one that had intervened.
"Where am I?" Tarlio asked in a cracked voice.

Tarlio looked excitedly at the meat lying beside him. The red timber wolf staggered over to it and began to tear at the stomach. After a while, Tarlio had eaten all he could. He looked back at the two pack wolves. Even after spending pretty much his whole life alone, he still had a little common decency. "Would you like some?" he asked.

" No, please Enjoy." ,he said silently. He had never been this kind. " Sorry about that phantom spirit cloud. It only comes when I'm mad. It's like my minds completely different when it comes.", he said with an awkward look.

Tarlio looked at the wolf with surprise. "It doesn't matter", he mumbled, taking another bite of caribou, "I would have done the same thing if someone invaded my home. If... I had a home."
The russet wolf looked away so as to hide the sadness that had just come into his eyes. "I suppose I should thank you both for the caribou. So... Thanks."
At this, the loner lay down and began to clean his paws.

Ooc: Meg, do you know who RPs Luna? or any other wolf for that matter, we could do with a few more wolves.

Hohn just sat and grunted.
"What is your name, stranger wolf?" he suddenly asked.

OOC: Smoke RPs Luna.
Sorrel Rps the alpha female but Sorrel is currently on vacation.

Tarlio looked up and scowled at the the leader. "Tarlio", he said plainly. "my name is Tarlio. I've traveled a long way. My home was far south, but, I, uh... had to leave. So I've been traveling north for almost twelve moons."

Ooc: ok, thanks Meg :3 I'll ask Smoke to join at some point. Could you ask Sorrel when she comes back?

The loner gave the leader a hard stare. "I stop walking only when I can go no further", he told the pack wolves. "And so far", he added, "I have been able to find food wherever I stop. Besides, when I smelt your pack boundaries I guessed there would be food he. Wherever you find a pack of thriving wolves, you find prey."

Tarlio stood up too, facing the angry wolf that stood in front of him. "I know very well who owns the prey", he growled back at Wyu. "You made it quite clear."
The wolves stood staring and growling hungrily at each other for a while. Then the timber wolf lost interest and stared back through the trees and out into the wilderness where the wolf's paths had first crossed.
Then he said suddenly, "How far is it to the next territory?"

Hohn followed the lone wolf with a low growl deep in his throat.
"I wouldn't go there if I were you," he growled, "The next pack over is the territory of evil spirits. In fact if I were you I wouldn't think of running away from this pack so easily."

Tarlio whipped round and stared at the leader with surprise. "What are you suggesting?" he inquired, "that I stay here? I must admit, you've got some good food, but it's been a long time since I've been in a pack. I suppose I've forgotten how."
The rusty-furred wolf withdrew his eyes and sat back down. He was telling the truth. It had almost been a year since his family had fled their pack in the south. He was finding it hard to believe why, if that is what they were suggesting, these two would want him to stay with them, especially after the way he had just marched onto their territory with the intention of stealing food, and then having a fight with one of their pack.

"I never said that," he said, "Each wolf chooses his own destiny. Besides. You wouldn't want to take the day's journey across the territory of wolves who will kill you without any thoughts of second chances."

This was true. He was still tiered from his journey, and he didn't particularly fancy being torn to pieces by an even savager wolf pack. "If - when on, where do you suggest I go for plenty of food and as little pack wolves as possible?"
